What you'll find

A low stepped cascade on spring-fed Travertine Creek and one of the best swimming holes in Chickasaw National Recreation Area — 3 to 5 cold, clear feet of drop into a pool the CCC helped shape in the 1930s.

That's the honest asterisk: the creek's current form is partly Civilian Conservation Corps landscaping, part of the park's original construction. It wears it well.

It sits on the Travertine Creek trail with Panther Falls, Bear Falls, and Sycamore Falls a short walk upstream — four falls, one easy creek walk.
