Privacy Policy

This policy describes what plungeworthy.com collects, why, and the choices you have. Short version: we collect what's needed to run the site, we use standard analytics and advertising services from Google, and we don't sell your personal information.

What we collect

Accounts. If you sign up, we store your email address, display name, and — if you sign in with Google — the name and profile image Google provides. Passwords for email sign-in are never stored in plain text.

Content you submit. Ratings, comments, visit logs, conditions reports, photos, and location submissions are stored with your account and displayed under your account name.

Payments. Membership billing is handled by Stripe. Card details go to Stripe, not to us; we store your Stripe customer reference and subscription status.

Usage. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used — pages visited, approximate location from IP, device type. This data is aggregated and not used to identify you.

Advertising

We show ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites; the DoubleClick cookie enables interest-based advertising. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings, or learn how Google uses data at policies.google.com. Members see no ads while signed in.

Cookies

We use cookies for sign-in sessions, and Google services set cookies for analytics and advertising as described above. Blocking cookies in your browser may break sign-in.

Sharing

We don't sell personal information. Data is shared only with the processors that run the site — Google (analytics, ads, sign-in), Stripe (billing), and our hosting providers — and when the law requires it.

Your choices

You can request a copy of your data or deletion of your account and its content by emailing hello@plungeworthy.com. Public content you submitted may persist in cached or archived form after deletion.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy; the effective date above reflects the latest version.
