About Bridal Veil Falls
Bridal Veil Falls is a 20-foot waterfall in Iowa.
It's fullest after rain, and flow can drop off during dry spells — plan around recent weather.
Plungeworthy rates Bridal Veil Falls 5/10 — if you're passing. The score weighs its scale, how confidently it's mapped, and its character.
What you'll find
A delicate, multi-stranded 20-foot cascade trickling over a massive ringed overhang inside Pikes Peak State Park. It's spring-and-seep-fed off the bluff face rather than a stream waterfall, which gives it that thin bridal-veil character the name promises.
The falls is half the reason to come; the other half is the park's 500-foot bluff view over the Mississippi-Wisconsin river confluence, one of the best overlooks in the Midwest. The two pair into an easy half-day.
Access is almost entirely boardwalk — one of the most civilized waterfall walks in Iowa.

Before you go
The pin marks the feature, not a trailhead or a legal route in. Some sit on private land or need a real hike, and conditions change with season and rain. Check local access, don't trespass, and never enter water — hot or cold — where it isn't safe.
