About Arrowhead Falls
Arrowhead Falls is a tiered in Nebraska.
It's fullest after rain, and flow can drop off during dry spells — plan around recent weather.
Plungeworthy rates Arrowhead Falls 3.6/10 — one for the list. The score weighs its scale, how confidently it's mapped, and its character.
What you'll find
The treasure-hunt entry. Arrowhead Falls is an unmarked spring-branch falls inside Fort Niobrara National Wildlife Refuge, identifiable by a distinctive 'nose' of rock protruding at its top. There's no sign and no formal trail — you find it by working up a side creek.
The National Park Service includes it in its Niobrara waterfall gallery, but nobody publishes a height. The refuge says more than 200 falls pour into the Niobrara; this is what most of them are like — small, cold, and yours alone if you're willing to look.
Bring a sense of adventure and leave the drainage as you found it.

Before you go
The pin marks the feature, not a trailhead or a legal route in. Some sit on private land or need a real hike, and conditions change with season and rain. Check local access, don't trespass, and never enter water — hot or cold — where it isn't safe.
