About Berry Falls
Berry Falls is a waterfall in Nebraska.
It's fullest after rain, and flow can drop off during dry spells — plan around recent weather.
Plungeworthy rates Berry Falls 3/10 — one for the list. The score weighs its scale, how confidently it's mapped, and its character.
What you'll find
The waterfall Niobrara floaters actually get close to. Most falls on the river hide up side canyons; Berry Falls, an 8-to-10-foot spring-fed drop, pours in right at the water's edge, and every tube and kayak on the popular stretch passes directly beside it.
It's on private land — the National Park Service's own page is explicit — and the owner's rule is simple: look from the water, don't climb, don't explore the banks.
It also serves as the unofficial mile marker where Fort Niobrara refuge water gives way to private land along the float.

Before you go
The pin marks the feature, not a trailhead or a legal route in. Some sit on private land or need a real hike, and conditions change with season and rain. Check local access, don't trespass, and never enter water — hot or cold — where it isn't safe.
