About Little Falls
Little Falls is a waterfall in Nevada.
Fed largely by snowmelt, it runs hardest in late spring and early summer and can thin to a trickle by late season.
Plungeworthy rates Little Falls 3/10 — one for the list. The score weighs its scale, how confidently it's mapped, and its character.
What you'll find
A 30-to-50-foot multi-drop cascade in a tight canyon beneath Cathedral Rock — and right now the only waterfall you can legally hike to at Mt. Charleston, with its famous neighbors closed for storm repairs.
It's also the steadiest: partly spring-fed rather than pure snowmelt, so it holds flow into summer after Mary Jane's window has closed.
Getting there

- Cathedral Rock (South Loop) Trailhead at the top of Kyle Canyon Road, near the Cathedral Rock Picnic Area — about 45 minutes from Las Vegas

- Road

- Hike
- 0.8 mi round trip (Short but rocky — harder than the mileage suggests)
When to go
May through October, with more reliable water than its neighbors even in summer.

Before you go
The pin marks the feature, not a trailhead or a legal route in. Some sit on private land or need a real hike, and conditions change with season and rain. Check local access, don't trespass, and never enter water — hot or cold — where it isn't safe.
